TOPIC:THE THOUGHT/WISHES OF GOD FOR YOU

TEXT: “Beloved i wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health even as the soul prospereth”. 3rd John 1:2

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

No father ever wishes bad for their child. Even when a father is not responsible, he still wants the best for his children. In the same way, your Heavenly Father has only good thoughts and plans for you.

MESSAGE:

Today’s Bible verse shows us a few important things that God wants for His children. As children of God, we must understand that our Heavenly Father has always wished great things for us, right from the beginning (Genesis 1:28).

Sometimes, we feel unsure about God’s plan for our lives. This often happens because we are not close enough to His Word to understand His heart and desires for us.

From today’s scripture, we see three things that God wants for us:

1. That you may prosper.

2. That you may be in good health.

3. That your soul may prosper.

Today, we’ll focus on the first one:

God Wants You to Prosper

God takes joy in seeing His children do well. When you are not prospering, it’s like a child who brings pain to their loving father. But God doesn’t just wish for you to prosper. He also made provision for your prosperity.

In Joshua 1:8, the Bible says:
"This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night... for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success."

This means that the key to your success is in the Word of God.
Psalm 1:2–3 also tells us that those who delight in God’s Word and think about it often will be like trees planted by rivers, they will always bear fruit and succeed.

Important Truth:

Lack of prosperity in the life of a child of God is not God’s fault. It’s often due to a lack of understanding of what His Word says about prosperity.

FACT TO HOLD ON TO THIS WEEK:

1. As a child of God, prosperity is your birthright. If you're not experiencing it, it's not God's failure—it means something needs to change on your part.

2. Jesus became poor so that you and I could become rich (2 Corinthians 8:9). So prosperity is not negotiable—it belongs to you.

3. The Word of God holds the key to a prosperous life. Understand it, believe it, and live by it.

REMEMBER THIS:

Prosperity is your birthright in God.

PRAYER:

Father, thank You for Your good thoughts towards me. I don’t take them for granted. Please open my eyes to see the path to prosperity through Your Word. Teach me Your ways, Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

TOPIC: UNDERSTANDING IS NOT TO BE UNDER.

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. Prov. 4:7

Take you wise men, and understanding, and known among your tribes, and I will make them rulers over you. Deut. 1:13

And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment. 1 Chron. 12:32

Understanding is not to remain under but from under, rise.

What you understand is what you stand for and what you stand for is what stands you out. To be outstanding, you must understand something.

TO UNDERSTAND;

(1) Gather and have insight into every information that comes your way.

(2) Get to know and familiarise yourself with the instructions in every information. Information is an informant.

To begin running before understanding a thing is to send oneself on fools' assignments.

What you don't understand, don't speak to. Else you are dispersing foolishness.

2⃣0⃣2⃣4️⃣, understand a thing and stand by it and you shall be outstanding in exploits.

I am sent.
